January 29th, 2012: HCC Community meeting: Special Guest speaker – Dr. Peter Wagner, Neuro-psychiatrist, from Mental Health Center of Denver, talked about TMS treatment for depression. It was reported that this treatment has research supporting the belief that it is more effective than psychotropic medications.

December 10th, 2011: Esther James hosts HCC 2nd annual holiday party and white elephant gift exchange.
Nov. 18th, 2011: HCC begins weekly in house consultation group for therapists.
October 30th, 2011: HCC invites Dr. Thom Dunn, from Denver Health to join monthly community meeting. Dr. Dunn talked about psychopharmacology and working with Denver Health.
October 23rd, 2011: Andy Smith, Blake Roberts, Kyle Kelly, Esther James, Rebecca Chapman, Sean Boyd, Angie Borkowski, Stephanie Diaz, Chris Diaz, and Danny Diaz participate in Good Sports Kids, Annual Kickball Tournament! HCC placed 1st in the costume contest and overall runner up in the competition!
October 12th, 2011: Kristina Wolf facilitates open house and tour of HCC for her Leads Group (networking group) from the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
October 3rd, 2011: Dr. David Nichol, Psychiatrist, decides to transition his practice over to Highland Counseling Center in December. HCC now has 28 therapists and 1 psychiatrist!
September 27th, 2011: HCC participated in health fair at UPS central location in Commerce City. Rebecca Wilson, Kyle Kelly, and Sean Boyd met with employees of UPS and provided overview of services offered.
September 23rd, 2011: Highland Counseling Center celebrated its 2nd year anniversary by hosting an open house. Over 75 guests came out to meet our group while enjoying food provided by Foodie Call Catering.
August 28th, 2011: HCC facilitates in house pot-luck meeting to discuss progress both as a community of professionals and as independent businesses. Website is reported to be on track for launching in October.
August 26th, 2011: HCC expands into fourth Suite, acquiring 3 additional offices. HCC is now comprised of 12 offices!
August 24th, 2011: Esther James facilitates open house and tour of HCC for her Leads Group (networking group) from the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
July 29th, 2011: Highland Counseling Center sponsors ribbon cutting event at North High School. North celebrated its 100th year anniversary with special guest, Michael Hancock, as well as Denver Public Schools Superintendent. HCC is proud to be providing counseling services to the Highland Community and those that attend or have attended North High School.
July 29th, 2011: HCC signs contract for redesign of its website. Set up for launch in October!
July 14th, 2011: Sean Boyd facilitates open house and tour of HCC for his Leads Group (networking group) from the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
June 3rd, 2011: Sean Boyd facilitates Open House/networking event at HCC for professionals and counseling students attending Regis University’s School of Professional Studies.
April 27th: Sean Boyd and Esther James facilitates Luncheon at HCC with guest speaker, Dr. Nicole Shadid, Psychiatrist from the Neuro-Therapy Clinic.
