I work with adults and teens seeking help for a variety of problems, including depression, anxiety, addictions, anger, grief and loss, fears, and relationship issues.

I help people connect with themselves and their lives through deepening awareness of their wants, needs, and the ways they hold themselves back.

My work with couples is founded in Gestalt Therapy, which I have found to be very effective when working with systems of all sizes, from couples to families to businesses. I empower couples to examine how they promote communication or “get in the way of” communication and intimacy. I also focus on present moment experience, personal responsibility, and mindfulness.

A native of Washington D.C., I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. I am certified as a Gestalt Therapist from the Gestalt Institute of the Rockies, where I continue to pursue advanced studies in couples and family therapy. I am also trained in EMDR (an effective technique for resolving trauma), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Experiential Play Therapy.

No therapeutic technique will be effective for all people, so I tailor treatments to each individual. For some, solution oriented talk therapy may be most appropriate while others may enjoy and benefit from a more dynamic approach involving music, mindfulness, or guided imagery.
