I strongly believe that all clients have the innate tools and inner resiliencies necessary to overcome all of the challenges that life can throw our way. I am honored, as a therapist, to have the opportunity to sit with children, teenagers, and families as a witness to each persons unique story. I feel that my job as a therapist is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where healing, affirmation, exploration, and growth may occur. I look forward to going on this journey with you and your family. I specialize in healing trauma with children, teens, and adults through the use of EMDR and play therapy.

I also specialize in family therapy and have a breadth of experience in supporting families working through many of the unique and specific challenges that families are facing today. These specialties include working with blended families, single parent families, kinship homes, as well as facilitating reintegration therapy for family members who have experienced an estrangement or separation but are looking to heal the cause of their estrangement and look toward a new beginning. Another strong professional passion I have developed involves supporting foster and adoptive families in family therapy. Most specifically this includes the process of fostering a healthy attachment between children and new forever adoptive parents.This process can be anxiety provoking for both children and families as it is a step into the unknown for all family members involved. I choose to specialize in working with this population due to the utmost respect and admiration that I have for these forever parents who open their hearts and their homes to children deserving of this level of unconditional love. I use a non-judgmental, structured, respectful, and affirming approach in supporting all of the families I have the honor to work with.

Therapy Fees: $100 per 50 minute session – Sliding scale $60-$100 – Free initial consultation (15 minute phone call or 30 minute in person meeting)

Insurance: I currently accept Aetna, Cigna and Value Options insurance. I am also anticipating being accepted as a provider for Anthem insurance in January or February of 2012.
