Mission:
Highland Counseling Center is comprised of a diverse team of independent professional counselors who believe in developing community while serving community. Each counselor specializes in specific modalities, services, and populations, while maintaining a shared commitment to professionalism, respect, empathy, and humility. We strive to create a comfortable and supportive clinical environment that allows clients to navigate through their personal process with dignity and privacy. Our goal is to find you the right support to meet your individualized needs.
Business Structure:
Highland Counseling Center is a Limited Liability Company (LLC), set up to perform administrative and organizational functions for counselors who are managing their own independent practice. Under the direction of Sean Boyd, this entity was developed out of a collective dream to set up a private practice while maintaining a community with others engaged in the same work. In just two years, HCC has grown from 3 counselors to over 25. With each counselor representing various training, professional backgrounds, and offering a unique set of skill sets to various populations, there is an increased opportunity to offer support, specific to the needs of the individual. Currently, there are more than 225 clients receiving counseling support from the various independent counselors practicing at Highland Counseling Center.
Nondiscrimination Policy:
Therapists practicing at Highland Counseling Center do not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, height, weight, physical or mental ability, veteran status, military obligations, or marital status.
